Ceiling Painting

Painting the ceilings and walls is also among the basic steps in the decoration. In addition to the wall color suitable for the selected furniture, the ceiling should also have a stylish appearance. In this way, the energy of the environment will be felt at the highest level and the air that the decoration wants to give will be fully reflected.

Particular attention should be paid to one point when it comes to wall color. Light, that is, soft colors always help the existing space to look more spacious, so even if the furniture is in dark or light tones, the wall colors should be chosen carefully. A sofa set in cream tones, gray or pale blue can be preferred over dark floor coverings. In this case, tones such as pale green, pink, pale yellow will be appropriate on the wall.

Another step that should be taken before the painting process is to correct the cracks in the ceiling or the places that require repair. For this, cracked and unsightly paints should be removed, and then, optionally, with the help of water-based repair putty or materials such as plaster and mastic, they should be repaired and repaired. Finally, sandpaper should be applied to the necessary places. 

After all these processes are completed, ceiling painting can be started. Just after the brush is dipped into the paint, it should be brought on the grid and the excess paint should be moved up and down as if painting. After removing the excess paint from the roller, the ceiling should be painted slowly. Suggestions are to thin the paint a little more for the second coat. Thus, the surface can be made to look more pleasant. After the first coat, wait for at least two hours for the drying process, and then move on to the second coat.

One of the points to be considered while painting the ceiling of the room is that there is no trace of the roller after the first coat is applied. For this, it would be best to move the roller on the ceiling several times and feed it to the surface. In the same way, when passing the second floor, no traces will be left, which will provide a good result.

Painting the ceiling is more difficult than painting the side walls, there is a high risk of mistakes as you have to constantly look up. Therefore, care should be taken both when driving the first floor and when passing the second floor.

Can a Wall be Painted with Ceiling Paint?
